Silversea initiated the concept of boutique cruises in 1994 by announcing the launch of Silver Cloud carrying only 296 esteemed guests. Silver cloud is well-appointed with spacious ocean-view suites and private verandas with exciting entertainment and dining options. The launch of Silver Cloud set new standards within the cruise tourism segment as it was designed to sail the ocean harbours as well as slip up the narrow rivers.

Interesting fact about Silver Cloud is that it housed to the US men’s and women’s basketball teams in Rio de Janeiro during the 2016 Olympics.

Redesigned using quite a lot luxuries and characteristics to  attract cruisers from across the world, the 16,927-ton, 296-passenger cruise ship Silver Cloud gives guests a contemporary feel and look as they float to the world’s most exciting destinations.

The boutique itineraries of Silver Cloud engage cruisers with mystical Caribbean islands with departures from Fort Lauderdale, Barbados and Puerto Rico. The Mediterranean sailing on Cloud departs from Rome, Venice, Barcelona, Athens/Piraeus and Istanbul. As part of the Silversea Expeditions fleet, starting 2017, Silver Cloud will operate on Antarctica and Arctic itineraries.
